The Kansas City Star

We’ve been fans of Ampersand Design Studio, run by lovely local gals Carrie Kiefer and Morgan Georgie for ages. Their melamine trays and screen-printed posters add a cheerful pop of bold color to any room. So we were super-excited to see the new line of fabrics they’ve just launched, in collaboration with Windham Fabrics. The studio’s “Cream & Sugar” collection features prints inspired by Kiefer and Georgie’s mutual love of tea (a habit - or perhaps obsession - they picked up when studying in England), with many of the prints featuring tea cups, teaspoons, sugar packets and the like. We think some table accessories created with fabrics from the collection would be the perfect way to brighten up those dreary winter days that are just made for curling up inside with a cuppa. Check out the collection and find inspiration for your own crafty sewing projects on Ampersand’s blog.
