Third Street Social, owned by Andy Lock and Domhnall Molloy, officially opened its doors to Lee’s Summit diners last week.
The concept is the second restaurant from Lock and Molloy, who also own Summit Grill & Bar in Lee’s Summit and Waldo.
With brunch, lunch and dinner menus, Third Street Social offers a more casual menu than Summit Grill & Bar, with more diverse options and an outdoor patio and green space.
Fans of Summit Grill & Bar’s Chicken Fried Chicken will enjoy the new restaurant’s fried chicken, which consists of a half chicken and a side for $19, or the fried chicken sandwich served with coleslaw on a Martin’s potato roll for $10.
Another notable dinner menu item is the Smoked Salmon Salad, a healthier dish that has a hearty serving of mixed greens, Melba toast, a six-minute egg and green goddess dressing for $14.
The lunch menu features Smoked & Charred Buffalo Wings made with Maytag blue cheese dressing, as well as Twice Fried Wings with a sweet and spicy gochujang sauce made from scratch.
Third Street Social also has a number of dessert options from new pastry chef Nicollette Foster, including chocolate mousse cake, a phyllo-wrapped brownie and blueberry hand pies.
You can wash your meal down with a craft beer or cocktail from Third Street Social’s extensive bar menu, which includes a Smoked Lemonade Shandy made with Svedka Citron, smoked lemonade, and Boulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale. The Truman Old Fashion features Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Dry Curaçao, sugar, Angostura bitters, and house-brandied cherries for $10.
Brunch will be available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning July 30.
