Sunday Spaces, a new lifestyle section published once a month in The Kansas City Star, will return this Sunday, Oct. 2. This month’s edition will include a number of features on home decor, fashion, food, drinks and more from the editors of Kansas City Spaces magazine. Here’s a look at what you can expect in Sunday’s issue:
If fall fashion is on your mind, you’ll want to flip to the Dressing section, where Stephanie Jacob rounds up this season’s most sophisticated plaid pieces for men. Tom Strongman, who has covered the automobile industry for more than 25 years, will share his review of the Audi Q7 in the Driving section.
You’ll find pages of home inspiration in the Decorating section, where Brooke McGrath will share how you can get the look of a romantic master bedroom designed by Mindy Day. Interior designer Mark Sudermann will give readers the scoop on his latest obsession, and we’ll show you where you can find stylish baskets for firewood in K.C.
Chef Renée Kelly of Renée Kelley’s Harvest will provide readers with a seasonal recipe in the Cooking section, where contributing writer Judith Fertig will also include tips on the art of preserving your food.
And in the Wedding section, you’ll get the details on a Kansas City couple’s industrial-chic September nuptials located in the heart of the River Market. You’ll also get an inside look at photos from two of this season’s local events, including the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art’s Patrons Party and the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams fall collection launch in the Celebrating section.
Last but not least: the Drinking section. Contributing writer Cody Hogan goes behind the bar with Q39‘s Jenn Tosatto, who shares a cocktail recipe you won’t want to stop sipping. Hogan will also give readers an in-depth look at pinot noirs and what they can be paired with.
