Sunday Spaces, a lifestyle section published once a month in The Kansas City Star, returns this Sunday, Aug. 6. This month’s edition will include a number of features on home decor, fashion, food, drinks and more from the editors of Kansas City Spaces magazine. Here’s a look at what you can expect in Sunday’s issue:
If fashion is on your mind, you’ll want to pour over the Dressing section, where Stephanie Jacob rounds up a new, crafty-feeling lace trend. In the Driving section, Tom Strongman reviews Subaru’s updated Outback, a sport-utility wagon with a dual personality.
You’ll find pages of home inspiration in the Decorating section, where Brooke McGrath will share how you can get the look of a high/low living room designed by Sara Noble. Interior designer Michelle Ford will give readers the scoop on her latest obsession, and we’ll show you where you can find the best hostess gifts in town.
Private chef Paige Vandegrift will provide readers with a seasonal recipe in the Cooking section, where contributing writer Judith Fertig will also include tips on Sunday food preparation.
And in the Wedding section, you’ll get the details on a Kansas City couple’s romantic soiree located in downtown Kansas City. If you missed the Young Friends of Art’s Muse at the Museum event, you can get a glimpse of what the party entailed in the Celebrating section.
Contributing writer Cody Hogan goes behind the bar with Julep bartender Jerrod Gardiner, who shares a cocktail recipe you’ll be itching to recreate in the Drinking section. Hogan will also give readers an in-depth look at Sicilian wines and what they can be paired with.
