When winter comes, it’s easy to hunker down in the comfort of your own home to avoid the outdoors. But Westport Cafe & Bar’s new menu items, as well as their new Tuesday-night deal, will have you dressed and ready to head out on the town in no time. Here’s a look at what you can expect to see on their updated menu in the winter season.
Due to the popularity of their steak frites, the local restaurant has launched a “Steak Soiree” deal every Tuesday night from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. During those hours, diners will be able to feast on the restaurant’s steak frites and bottomless pommes frites for just $15 (the dish is regularly priced at $23).
If steak frites and fries aren’t enough to satisfy your hunger, the Westport eatery has added a number of new items to its menu this winter. Developed by Executive Chef Romain Monnoyeur, the four new dishes combine cold weather comfort food with classic French fare. The new offerings include Warm Cauliflower Soup with ham cream, Braised Chicken Fricassee with fettuccine and Roasted Lamb Chops with gnocchi.
Ten seasonal cocktails have alse been added to Westport Cafe & Bar’s menu, created by longtime lead bartender Bronson Kistler. Kistler’s concoctions include the Clarified Milk Punch, which is made with Bourbon, cognac, honeycrisp apples, ginger, spices, citrus, black tea, and milk clarification. The Copper Rabbit consists of Builder’s Gin, Apricot Brandy, Szechuan peppercorn, cinnamon, lemon, and egg white and the Supersonic Rocket Ship is made with Reposado tequila, cold brew coffee, tamarind, ancho chile, orange, and bitters.
Westport Cafe & Bar is open Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. yo 12 a.m.
