Columbia native Lily Dawson began making her own jewelry in 2009 after moving to Los Angeles to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Although she originally designed the pieces for herself, Dawson eventually turned her craft into her own line of rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
Seven years after her journey to making jewelry began, Dawson is now living in Kansas City, where she designs and creates each piece of her growing collection. Dawson’s line now includes bridal jewelry, custom pieces and collaborations with local artists, like these Rectangle Fray Earrings. The earrings combine ceramic elements made by Emily Reinhardt of The Object Enthusiast, and cotton rope with brass hardware.
The bold style of the design makes it the perfect accessory to dress up a simple, classic outfit. And at just $45, it’s an affordable statement that can be made for years to come.
The earrings can be purchased online here.
