Although the Midwest is far, far from the French Countryside, blogger and author Sharon Santoni makes it easy to get inspired by her life in Normandy, France.
Santoni’s blog, My French Country Home, features entertaining tips, recipes, trips to Paris, home tours and tons of insight into French culture. In her latest venture, a book titled “My Stylish French Girlfriends,” Santoni takes readers inside the lives of 20 creative French women and the spaces they live in, from cozy cottages to chic Parisian apartments. The book also explores the women’s working environments, their personal sense of style and how they entertain.
And although a trip to France doesn’t sound too bad, Santoni agreed to bring her debut book to Kansas City for an exclusive book signing event at Nell Hill’s.
“Each woman has a story to tell; each is living her life passionately and each has a beautiful home that she opens for us,” Santoni wrote on her blog.
On June 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Nell Hill’s, Santoni will discuss her life in France, her approach to decorating and what inspired her about the women featured in “My Stylish French Girlfriends.”
The event is free, and proceeds from book purchases will go toward the Global Orphan Project, a Kansas City-based nonprofit that works with local churches to provide care for orphaned and abandoned children.
