Westport’s Doughnut Lounge has quickly become a go-to spot for Kansas Citians, whether they’re dining on classic donuts for breakfast or sipping a cocktail after work. The spot, founded by Jake Randall, frequently adds new creations to its menu, and this winter is no exception.
The restaurant and bar recently added six new donuts to its classic menu, and four new options, including a gluten- free and vegan option, to its signature menu. Diners who are still craving some holiday flavor will be excited by Doughnut Lounge’s classic additions, which consist of peppermint old-fashioned, chocolate old-fashioned, eggnog, maple pecan, orange chocolate and apple cider donuts.
On the signature menu, customers can choose from a vegan baked gingerbread donut, a gluten-free baked eggnog option, peppermint raspberry cheesecake or eggnog glaze.
The K.C. staple has also added more traditional breakfast items to its lineup, including biscuits and gravy, shakshouka, a Big Breakfast of bacon, eggs, hash browns, toast and avocado, and Irish breakfast with coffee pancakes, and a dish named Chipotle Chix n’ Hash that features chipotle chicken, hash, two fried eggs and chipotle barbecue sauce.
Doughnut Lounge is open Sunday through Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. To look at their full menu, click here.
