New Moves from the Kansas City Ballet

What if you had the chance to see the next big thing before it became the next big thing? With New Moves from the Kansas City Ballet, you’ll have just that opportunity. Now in its second year, New Moves is a choreographic workshop and performance event that allows dancers from within the ballet’s company, as well as outside guests from the national dance scene, to experiment with choreography. The event takes a step away from traditional techniques common to a classical repertoire and allows up-and-coming choreographers the rare opportunity to create unique works using their fellow company members. Held in the intimate Michael and Ginger Frost Performance Studio, New Moves provides the audience with the opportunity to experience dance in an up-close, personal and passionate way. New Moves will be held February 6-14. kcballet.org
